To get this started let me recount on how it happened… It was December 2010 when my bestfriend, Neda Marie Maramo, and I read about the CLEAN AND CLEAR BFF8 DATE Contest [http://www.facebook.com/cleanclearphilippines?v=app_6009294086], at candymag.com, and decided to join the Artist category since we think that the prize, designing a shirt, seems so cool and tasks sounds fun. Despite our busy days at school we really made an effort to set a day for us to be able to do the tasks, that we had a blast doing: “1. Make a charm bracelet for each other. 2. Paint our shoes. 3. Make a artwork at a public place. 4. Jumpshot. 5. Show our personality in a picture. 6.Light Painting.”

Then a few days after that, things just happened so fast, that we were just taken by surprise that we already won. HAHA!

Last saturday, was a very big and super fun day. Although, we were caught off-hand when we arrived at Analog Soul’s store in Trinoma for our prizes. Nothing turned out the way we expected it to be, because we thought that we’ll just be designing a shirt and nothing more.
First, we met cool people. When I say “Cool People”, these are the kind of people that you could really notice their passion in what they do. We met Ate Nikka Arcilla of Clean and Clear, she’s super sweet and very madaldal (hihi.), and Kuya Perk Bautista. Then we were introduced to one of Analog Soul’s graphic designer, Kuya Ayie Reyes, he taught us few tricks in making shirt designs, and Sir Migs Naguiat, the uber cool owner of Analog Soul. Then Kuya Aaron Cabangis, Ate Cherry Suarez and Sir Rookie Camaclang.

Second, we learned a lot and got inspired, not only from Kuya Ayie, but also from all of them. It feels so good to be around great, nice and passionate people. It made us feel that anything is really possible.

And lastly, Neda and I had so much fun learning and laughing at ourselves, because of what we never expected to do, but we did, and what happened.

It was, probably, one of the best days of our BFF days. And we can’t wait to see our printed designs. ☺ Weeee!!!!

Thank you Clean and Clear! ♥

There are many kinds of smiles. One can smile when one is with friends. They may say something to make you laugh, something to touch your heart, or something which only you and your group of friends understand. One can smile when one is with a lover. They may also say something funny or heart-touching, or maybe they’ll bring up a memory the two of you shared together, or perhaps you’re talking about all of your wonderful plans for the future. But those smiles can be false. Those smiles can be faked. One smile when one thinks about friends or lovers. And in that very moment, you smile. Not because you’re with your friends, and not because you’re with your lover, but because you’re remembering something you and your friends or lover said together did together. That’s how you know when your friends are true friends, and your love is true love. If you just smile when with them, they’re friends and lovers. If they can still make you smile you’re apart, that’s true friendship and love.

That was the first time that I get to see cars drifting right in front of me. And it was amazing! I wish I could learn that too. :)
